The two hibiscus blooms in my garden
Surprised me today,
As the tree had shed most its leaves
And I wasn’t sure it would survive.
Such beautiful, delicate flowers
With a half a dozen more buds,
This floral tree is somehow thriving
When most other ones would not.
So I will tend it with care,
Keeping it where it is always sunniest,
To try and regrow what was lost,
And help it grow to be glorious.
